Styloïde: a genius ideia

A few weeks ago I went to visit Vanrycke Paris‘s showroom on Place Vendôme, created by Parisian jewelry designer Lise Ferreira (which has Portuguese ancestry, as you guys can see in her name!). A sympathetic and creative person with a nose for what is modern, comfortable and usable in terms of jewelry today. For her, the jewelry has to be light, almost imperceptible in the woman’s body. And yet elegant, fine, creative.  I like the concept and quality of Lise’s pieces, everything is extremely thin, with graceful undulations. One of my favorites is the Coachella (and I have it, yay!), these earrings that makes a crazy success here in Paris. From the red carpet we can see that her pieces have already been adopted by many celebs as Laetitia Casta, Bella Hadid, Marion Cotillard, Jessica Alba (who wears her Coachella all the time!), and outside red carpets, Garance Doré and at last but not the least Beyoncé! A real success! I went to her showroom to know this year’s big news: the Styloïde, a bracelet in …

How well do you know Omega?

As many of you may already know, Omega is the official timekeeper of the Summer Olympic Games Rio 2016 (in fact, the brand has been doing this for exactly 84 years!). Thus, the brand times no less than 28 summer sports modalities and seven winter sports, not to mention the Paralympic Games and Youth Olympic Games. But, well why am I talking about this? Because Omega surprised me since I approached them due a partnership with the blog. And why? Because I used to have in mind a sport and men’s image brand and it is not so (or at least is not only that): they have an incredible jewelry line, female gorgeous and super feminine watches (also has for those who prefer something more sporty!), a wonderful social project called Orbis (in which they sponsor the project Orbis International and its Flying Eye hospital, who travels the world helping people with eye problems), and above all, a nice social work they are developing with associations in Rio because of the OG, the #OmegaViva Rio (which …

My experience at L’Atelier Blanc by Frédéric Mennetrier

Do you remember that I told you (and made a long mystery after) about the new color of my hair? Well, now I can tell you all! The article I wrote for Harper’s Bazaar Brazil tells everything, and you can read it  now (click here). It is in Portuguese, sorry english speakers! The author of my change is Frédéric Mennetrier from L’Atelier Blanc (the same hairstylist that has transformed Kim Kardashian in blonde, wow!). He is a top colorist, friendly and a very charismatic person. I hope you enjoy the reading!

A gourmet Italian night at Caffé Artcurial

I love testing restaurants with friends, there is always a lot of talk, exchanging ideas on food and drinks (and sometimes even on waiters!), desserts, décor, we talk and enjoy it all. The last testing was the Caffé Artcurial – inside Artcurial’s, traditional gallery and auction room in Paris, located in the Golden Triangle of Champs Elysées with Avenue Montaigne, with my beloved fellows Luciana and Caroline. The caffé, which follows the Italian line – cicchetti, antipasti, first course, second course – has just launched a brand new spring menu, which is just so good!   We started with the famous aperitif, with the options spritz or champagne, and guess what was our choice? Very divided! Two champagnes and one spritz for Carol, cos’ she was a little bick sick…Well, going back to the point, we’ve had also: bufallo muzzarella, charcuteries, salami, cerise tomatoes. To celebrate the lauching of the new menu, the journalists had the opportunity to taste a Sassontino 2014, simplement une tuerie, as we say in french! As a follow up, bouchées à la …

In Paris? Treatwell offers 15% of reduction on beauty services for you!

I was invited to test a new beauty service in Paris: Treatwell, a booking site that gathers all the salons and beauty centers, spas and hairdressers in Paris, so you can reserve your beauty treatment anyday and anytime you want . It’s like a Beauty Google, let’s say? It is simple: you go to their website, choose what you want to do – massage, hair care, haircut, brush, color, facial treatment, manicure -, then you determine the time and the day you want. You pay, and receive a direct confirmation email in your inbox. All fast, practical, easy and every day, anytime you want. I chose the customized facial massage from Deep Nature Spa Hotel in Saint James & Albany on rue de Rivoli. Made with products from Algotherm – french beauty brand that exists since 40 years in France, made by algae – it is made after an analysis of the client’s skin needs. I asked for a brighter skin and a special attention to my face open pores. We start with cleaning, make …

Brasserie Thoumieux, c’est tout mieux!

I visited Hôtel Thoumieux‘s brasserie last Sunday, I was in the mood since a long time to try their brunch. For those who do not know, the chef des lieux, Sylvestre Wahid, has two macarons in Michelin’s guide. Firstly, the place has a real Parisian allure: it is an old restaurant back to 1923 Belle Epoque, now under the command of the famous Costes brothers. Modern, the décor is all about Paris in the roaring amid emerald green gooseneck lamps, the red velvet banquette, mirrors, mirrored columns, ball shaped chanderliers. Snuggly, it is true, but that’s also what makes the charm of the place. If you close your eyes, you are back  to these Années Folles, with actresses, singers, artists, bohemians dancing on the tables, singing and drinking. Attention, the logo of the hotel / restô / brasserie was made by the duo M / M. Impossible to be more branché as a place. The brunch is simply « no comments »: they have simply the bread and rillettes of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, the desserts from …
